There really was no music genre that the great Linda Ronstadt could not tackle. While she’s most widely known for her country tunes, she also record rock, opera, jazz and Latin songs, working with everyone from Dolly Parton and Frank Zappa to Paul Simon and Philip Glass. That’s quite the resume! Along the way, Ronstadt also managed to earn over $100 million, bringing her total net worth to $130 million!
Sadly, Ronstadt had to retire from singing in 2011, as a result of a progressive supranuclear palsy diagnosis. However, Ronstadt still manages to give fans what they want, just in a different way: in 2013, she published her incredible memoir Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir.
