Brandy Norwood first rose to stardom after releasing her debut, self-titled album in 1995. From the album, her collaboration with Monica, “The Boy Is Mine,” went on to become one of the longest-running number-one singles in music history. Soon enough, however, Norwood proved singing was just one of her many talents. In 1996, she landed the lead role in the UPN sitcom Moesha.
These days, Norwood still works as a musician, though it’s not the only talent she’s exploring. She also became a judge on America’s Got Talent’s first season and starred in the television film Zoe Ever After, which she also produced. Now, Norwood has sold over 40 million records worldwide and become the only ‘90s female musician whose songs have been streamed over 1.5 billion times!
