Actress Anna Chlumsky got her big break in 1991, thanks to her role as Vada Sultenfuss in one of everyone’s favorite childhood movies, My Girl. Unlike her co-star Macaulay Culkin, who became the world’s most recognizable child stars, Chlumsky failed to find other memorable roles. However, the actress didn’t seem to mind this one bit, as she wanted to focus on her education. She attended the University of Chicago and graduated with a BA in International Studies in 2002.
After college, Clumsky decided to give acting a second try. She then made a couple of guest appearances in several hit shows, before landing one of the supporting roles in the political satire In the Loop. While her role was pretty small, director Armando Iannucci was impressed by her and offered her the role of Amy Brookheimer in his hit HBO series, Veep.
