In 2012, Samsung released an ad for its new Galaxy S3, not knowing it would become one of the most famous commercials ever. In it, a suburban housewife, played by Margaret Emery, shares a private, for-his-eyes-only video with her husband with her new phone. As a result, the ad quickly earned the nickname, “The Naughty Mom Commercial.”
The Galaxy S3 ad also successfully helped launch the new phone, racking up more than 10 million views in just two years. Meanwhile, by 2015, Samsung had sold more than 70 million S3s. Since then, Emery has still not achieved her big breakthrough and continues acting in commercials.
