Candice Bergen is one of the most successful actresses and models in Hollywood. While starring as the titular lead in the hit TV series Murphy Brown, Bergen became the spokesperson for Sprint telephone commercials. Her character was commonly called “the Dime lady,” not for selling dimes but because Sprint’s rate was only 10 cents a minute back then!
Before starring in Sprint commercials, Bergen had already made quite a name for herself in the acting and modeling business. However, the additional publicity certainly helped Bergen further her career. And her bank accounts – though we still don’t know how much she made!
