Financial and Life Lessons You Can Learn From The Amish
Did you know there are many lessons you can learn from the Amish? From cooking to working and more learn how they live…
2. Zero Electricity
While most people pay monthly utility bills, that’s not exactly how the Amish community rolls. You see, in most Amish Mennonite homes there’s no electricity allowed. So, on the bright side, they have fewer bills to pay.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they live in complete darkness. Instead, some Amish depend on gas or kerosene to light up their homes. And contrary to popular belief, some Amish communities understand that sometimes you need power. So, they actually can use electricity for work, emergencies, or whatever else they deem necessary. While you don’t have to cut yourself off entirely, try and limit your usage and see what it does to your bills.
