Even if you don’t know O.J. Simpson from his days as an all-star footballer player, you certainly know him from his two very high profile court cases. The first, a charge that Simpson murdered his ex-wife and her friend, Ron Goldman, truly cost the star his fortune. Beforehand, Simpson had a net worth of $11 million. However, after all the legal fees, he had a not guilty verdict but also almost no money.
Then, afterward, a court found Simpson guilty for the crimes in a separate, civil suit, ordering him to pay both families nearly $40 million. What’s more, Simpson was later convicted for unrelated charges and spent almost 9 years in prison. Today, he has retired from the public eye and lives life as a broke man.
