Believe it or not, the entire rock band Linkin Park has quite the entrepreneurial streak, and have invested in tech startups companies even as they tour around the world. The band members have said that they share the same approach to investing as they do to music. “Not only is the band a startup, but each album is its own startup,” said the band’s leader, Mike Shinoda, in 2015.
What’s more, Linkin Park has created its own investment fund, Machine Shop Ventures. Through it, the band members have invested cash in Robinhood, the stock-trading app recently valued at $1.3 billion, and Lyft. Meanwhile, Shinoda decided to invest privately in Spotify, Pandora, and a few other promising companies.
