While Simmons tried her hardest to simply enjoy the meal, she couldn’t help to feel guilty and remark, “I wish somebody else could experience this with me. They’re not going to believe this!” It was, by far, the fanciest meal that Simmons had ever had. Not only that, but it was also the first time in a long time that someone other than a fast-food fry cook had made her a meal.
As Simmons wrapped up dessert, she thought her incredible day had come to an end. After all, what could top a personal meal from a five-star chef? Then, however, the doorbell rang, and Madeline asked Simmons to answer it.
