Believe it or not, Andrew Lloyd Webber, composer of hit musicals like Cats and Phantom of the Opera, is one of the most vocal celebrities about not leaving his wealth to his children. While the composer has a net worth of $750 million, he does not intend to pamper his adult children’s lives. Instead, Webber believes that it is far more important for his children to develop a solid work ethic and earn their own way in life.
Webber made this life-changing decision later in life, at the age of 60, when he realized than having a will is a necessity. As for what his five children think, Webber said, “They aren’t bothered, and they don’t think that way. It is about having a work ethic – I don’t believe in inherited money at all.”
