After his passing, news came out that Hoffman had not left anything to his children. Some assumed it was because of his early passing; however, that’s not the case. The truth is Hoffman and his wife decided that they didn’t want “trust fund kids.” In fact, a year before his death, the actor stressed that he wanted to leave his fortune to his partner instead of his kids. Hoffman even jokingly said to his children, “There won’t be much money left because we are spending it!”
