Celebrities Who Cut Their Children Out of Their Inheritance
19. Ted Turner
Ted Turner rose to prominence back in the 1970s as the pioneer of 24-hours cable news by founding the Cable News Network, better known as CNN. After his initial success at CNN, Turner used his talents to create more massive channels, including TBS and TNT. Not only that, but he also made other lucrative investments, including purchasing majority stakes in the Atlanta Braves and World Championship Wrestling.
After making quite a fortune in the competitive worlds of media and sports, Turner purchased vast amounts of property in the Western plains and mountains to become, at one time, the largest single landowner in America. As such, Turner’s highest priority is supporting environmental and conservation causes through his charity, the Turner Foundation. Meanwhile, his children are prepared not to inherit any of his estate, as it will go to the Foundation!
