Aaron and Candy Spelling came under the spotlight after they decided not to leave their children any of Aaron’s hard-earned fortune, which he earned from creating shows like Melrose Place and Beverly Hills 90210. In fact, Aaron and Candy’s most famous daughter, actress Tori Spelling, made quite the publicity tour against the decision.
After Aaron passed away, and Tori’s attacks, his wife Candy Spelling needed to defend his decision to only give his kids a small fraction of his estate. “Tori would close a store and drop $50,000 to $60,000, I never did anything like that. She just went crazy,” Candy explained. It seems they did not want to further their daughter’s shopping splurges. As a result, Tori received a mere $800,000 of her fathers’ $600 million fortune.
