They Used To Be Massive Stars, Now They Work 9-To-5 Jobs
Clearly, show business is quite an unstable field. So, it’s no wonder that some celebrities have left Tinseltown behind and found normal jobs!
Lisa Whelchel – Public Speaker, Writer
If you grew up in the 1980s, then you probably remember Lisa Whelchel. After all, she starred in two of the biggest shows of the decade: the Mickey Mouse Club and The Facts of Life. Then, once all that was over, Whelchel stayed in the world of entertainment, continuing as a Christian pop star. Whelchel even won a Grammy nomination for Best Christian Album for her 1984 album All Because of You!
Nowadays, Whelchel is more focused on helping others through her relatively normal jobs. She now works as a speaker and writer on topics like homeschooling, motherhood, and friendship. Never one to leave the camera along for long, Whelchel appeared as a contestant on the 25th season of Survivor in 2012. Though she didn’t win, viewers did vote her as their “Fan Favorite,” so she took home $100,000!
