Without a doubt, actress Mayim Bialik has become one of Hollywood’s best talents. And, incredibly, the woman who portrayed a smart scientist on the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory actually has a degree in real life. And not just a Bachelor’s or anything – Bialik earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. She’s a legit doctor! Not many people with such qualifications leave it all behind to attempt a second career in Hollywood, but fans feel glad Bialik did.
For those not in the know, Bialik’s Hollywood career began as a child actress, but she never lost focus on her studies. Even today, while still working full-time in the industry, the actress continues to stay involved in medical work and publish books on the topic of neuroscience.
