In late 2020, famed actress Keke Palmer took to Instagram to reveal that she had been in a lifelong battle with one of the most pervasive and intense causes of acne, Polycystic ovary syndrome. “I’m not afraid to show myself to the world and you shouldn’t be either,” the Hustlers star said in her inspiring post.
Completely makeup-free and baring all, Palmer shared several photos of her and informed fans that doctors had been working for years to try and help get rid of her acne. “Pray for me on this journey and I will pray for you too,” the actress concluded. “I’m not afraid to show myself to the world and you shouldn’t be either.”
