Reportedly, actress-comedian Amy Schumer and celebrity chef Chris Fischer had been dating for a year before the comedian confirmed their relationship with an Instagram post simply captioned “Yup.” Only a handful of friends and family attended the couple’s private wedding ceremony, including actress Jennifer Lawrence, who later admitted she couldn’t keep from “sobbing” at her friend’s wedding. In 2019, the celebrity couple welcomed their first child, Gene Attell Fischer.
Earlier in 2020, Schumer revealed that her husband had previously been diagnosed with autism. “My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger’s,” she said. “Once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he’s on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him.”
