Mavis Leno has been there since the start of her husband, famous comedian Jay Leno, career. The two lovebirds first met when Mavis went to Comedy Store in early 1976 and saw young Jay performing. Her first thought? “Oh my god, that comedian is gorgeous!” After the performance, Mavis gathered enough courage to ask him out on a date, and four years later, the two married.
However, while it might seem like blink luck, Jay certainly disagrees. In fact, he has quite the theory on why they ended up together. According to the comedian, he’s oddly attracted to women born on September 5, which includes his wife! “I don’t know what it is,” he told the Los Angeles Times. “I don’t look for a woman born on September 5, I just wind up attracted to them!”
