One of the most iconic celebrity couples of all time, John Travolta and Kelly Preston, met each other at a screen test for their 1989 comedy, The Experts. While Travolta has always said that I was love at first sight, Preston disagreed. After all, she was married to actor Kevin Gage at the time. However, “I was not happily married, let’s put it that way,” she told Andy Cohen. “I was really with the wrong person.”
The couple tied the knot in a lovely, intimate ceremony in 1991 and remained together until Preston’s passing in 2020. “You’re a dream Daddio and make life so much fun!! I trust my love with you implicitly…” Preston wrote on her Instagram for their 28th anniversary, the last before she passed away. “With you, I know I will always be okay no matter what happens… I love you forever and completely.”
