Legendary actress Meryl Streep met her first long-term partner, John Cazale, while filming The Deer Hunter. Unfortunately, Cazale tragically died of bone cancer shortly after, leaving a heartbroken Streep behind. A friend of her brothers, artist Don Gummer, kindly offered Streep the option to stay at his apartment while he was out of town. When he returned, the actress simply never left.
The two fell quickly and deeply in love, marrying shortly after in 1978. Today, the couple have a son, Henry, a musician, and three daughters: Mamie, Grace – both actresses, and Louisa, a model.
