As the show was doing incredibly well, actors and actresses were lining up for a role in it. Enters Jada Pinkett. You see, Pinkett actually auditioned to play Smith’s on-screen girlfriend on the sitcom. However, producers felt 5’0” Pinkett wasn’t a believable match for 6’2” Smith. While the role went to a different actress, Smith disagreed!
The two soon became friends, then started dating. Then, they tied the knot on New Year’s Eve 1997.
