One fateful day, Lori Coble, along with her mother Cindy, had packed up all three kids from school and headed to the mall. Kyle felt particularly excited to go, as he wanted to ride the new Ferris wheel installed at the mall. The family thoroughly enjoyed their day out, but eventually grew tired. So, the children, grandma, and mom piled back into the minivan and headed home.
As they made their way back home, Lori stopped in a line of traffic exiting the highway. At that moment, she turned and saw little Katie starting to nod off. That’s when Lori also saw every driver’s worst nightmare: an 18-wheel rig rushing towards the back of the car!
