It took a long time for stand-up comedianĀ Maria Bamford to become a famous face on television. She released two stand-up albums and tours before finally landing her first movie role in the comedy Lucky Numbers. She then continued working, taking stand-up gigs and voice acting roles until things really started to turn around for the emerging comedian.
Bamford’s biggest break came when she starred in a series of commercials for Target, starring as a madwoman obsessed with the store. They became a hit, and the comedian exploded in popularity.
