Mariana Atencio
Few news correspondents start in another country and then jump to the American news world, making Mariana Atencio’s accomplishments even more impressive. The Venezuela native started at Impremedia’s El Diario/La Prensa after graduating from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. After working for more Spanish channels, like Univision and Fusion, Atencio made the jump to American news, working for both MSNBC and HBO, on their program Habla Now.
However, it seems that Atencio did not fall in love with the news world. After just under a decade in television, she left news behind to become an author and motivational speaker. We wish her the best of luck!
