Kate Abdu
Unlike many other female sports journalists, Kate Abdu started her career in Germany, hosting sports coverage for the international news network Deutsche Welle. Abdu then moved to the UK, where she hosted shows for Sky Sports, such as Pay Per View Boxing Events, European Football, and Sky Sports News. These days, however, she works in America, hosting the Premier Boxing Champions for Fox News.
While such an international career might seem surprising, with Abdu, it makes total sense. Born in the UK in 1981, she moved to Spain at the age of 17 and completed her high school education there. Afterward, Abdu studied for a Bachelor’s Degree in European Languages, Translation, and Interpreting. She also lived in France and Germany during her studies, learning to speak both countries’ languages fluently. Impressive!
