From the depths, the final animal moved closer and closer to Hauser. While she had initially thought it had been a third whale, possibly a youngling, the marine biologist quickly realized her error. Instead, Hauser realized that a tiger shark was swimming right for her. “So my mind quickly went, ‘Oh, my gosh!'” she recalled. To make matters worse, it was too late to escape – the tiger shark was quickly on its way to Hauser!
And the marine biologist had an excellent reason to start feeling even more scared. After all, tiger sharks are some of the most fearsome and dangerous creatures in the entire ocean!
