In an instant, the presence of the whales vanished from Nan Hauser’s mind. Now, all that the marine biologist could think about was the deadly tiger shark in front of her. Quickly, time was running out! Hauser needed to think of something soon if she wanted to return to the boat alive.
In the end, there was nothing else Hauser could do: she needed to swim for it. Taking a deep breath and using the whales for cover, she swam as fast as possible towards the boat. Hauser hoped with all her might that her fins would help her out-swim the dangerous shark.
