Veteran marine biologist Nan Hauser has spent her entire life striving to understand ocean life, particularly whales and dolphins. You might have even seen her before, as her work has been featured in National Geographic, on the Discovery Channel, and plenty of other places.
Today, Hauser makes her home on Rarotonga, the largest of the Cook Islands, where she helped found a whale sanctuary.
