Woman Tears Up When They Tell Her What Her Grandma’s Painting Is Really Worth
10. Frontier Artist
For those not well versed in American art history, painter Henry Francois Farny, who’s self-portrait you see below, mainly focused on painting the tribes of Native Americans. In fact, Farny’s interactions with Native American tribes are quite legendary. For years, he lived with the Seneca Tribe on their reservation in the New York area, learning of their religion and way of life.
Beforehand, Farny had spent much of his childhood hunting in that specific area. There, he first began interacting with the Seneca Tribe. But Rose didn’t just know about the artist! She also had a theory about how her grandmother had come to own an original Farny.
