“Take On Me” by A-ha (1984)
Are you from Norway? If so, the band A-ha is no one hit wonder. However, while they might be massive in Norway, everywhere else on Earth, A-ha remains a one hit wonder, all thanks to their song “Take On Me.” Featuring one of the most famous high notes of all time, in the chorus, “Take On Me” managed to top the United States and United Kingdom charts in 1985.
Unlike other one hit wonders, A-ha can attribute most of “Take On Me’s” success to its historic music videos, one of the first to combine live-action and animation. Today, as stated, the band continues to perform regularly in its home country.
