It took him a while, but Deontay Wilder finally made the list of the highest-paid sports figures working today. After years of solidifying himself as one of the top-tier heavyweight boxers of the current era, those paychecks are really started racking themselves up. This year, Wilder has already managed to earn over $50 million. However, he made most of that from a single fight: his rematch against Tyson Fury. For that fight alone, Wilder took home somewhere between $25 and $30 million!
Meanwhile, Wilder has also smashed plenty of records. He held the WBC heavyweight title from 2015 to 2020, becoming the first American world heavyweight champion in nine years, the most prolonged period in boxing history without an American heavyweight champion.
