Basketball star Lebron James is quickly on his way to becoming the world’s richest athlete. He’s been working on it for a long time: James actually signed with Nike before he even started playing professional ball. That’s right! Now, he has three championships under his belt, as well as four MVP titles. Not only that, but James has decided to invest in a sports team far away from home: English Premiership club Liverpool.
While James has only recently invested in the team, he clearly feels that it’s worth it. He’s continued investing with the Fenway Sports Group, which owns the team. While James is currently focusing on Liverpool, his deal with FSG actually makes him a minority owner in Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox as well!
