Fred Thompson

Former U.S. Senator Fred Thompson was one of the original cast members of Law & Order. He played the role of District Attorney Arthur Branch for five seasons. Dalton’s character first appeared in the 13th episode, “American Jihad,” and made his last appearance in the 17th episode entitled “The Family Hour.”
After his stint on the original series, he did a cameo appearance for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episodes “Fallacy” and “Gone.” Juggling the worlds of acting and politics, Thompson served as U.S. Senator from 1994 to 2003.
