It wouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that a royal family as lavish and historic as the British Royal Family would have a fair amount of alcohol. After all, it is a pretty standard gift even outside of royal households. However, the royals specifically are not allowed to accept gifts from private groups, making their $450,000 booze stash even more expensive!
As such, the royal family had to either purchased it themselves or have been given it by personal friends. What’s more, the most interesting part is that between 2012 and 2013 $100,000 worth of alcohol vanished from the stash, meaning they either gifted it or drunk it, maybe both.
