As you can imagine, the British monarchy undertakes a great extent of domestic and international travel as a part of their royal duties. What’s more, in the financial year ending March 31, 2019, the royal Family spent $5 million on travel. Furthermore, Prince Charles topped the royal Family travel budget with an expenditure of more than $1.5 million last year.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, visited Fiji and Tonga, costing the Crown $90,000. And Prince William and Kate Middleton’s visit to Jordan Israel and Palestinian cost $74,000. Even further, over the last year, the royal family undertook 204 helicopter journeys the taxpayer $700,000, not to mention other means of transportation. The royals spent $190,000 on 10 residence trips.
