There is no denying the fact that New Zealand-born director Peter Jackson is a filmmaking genius! Fans of JRR Tolkien’s epic masterpiece The Lord of the Rings will always remember Jackson as the person who brought the magic of Middle Earth to the big screen!
The director’s short cameo appearance can be seen in the opening montage of Hot Fuzz, where he plays a deranged Santa Claus who stabs the character of Simon Pegg in the hand. In an interview with About.com, Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright revealed that he is good friends with Jackson and when he mentioned the movie, The Lord of the Rings director immediately suggested that he wanted to do a cameo!
