Tom Selleck is perhaps best known for his iconic performance in the show Magnum P.I. back in the late 70s and 80s. Not only is he a TV star, but also an accomplished film actor appearing in films such as Mr. Baseball and the Three Men and a Baby franchise.
While Selleck loves being an actor, he has taken up a pretty unusual second career. At the height of his Magnum P.I. fame, Selleck bought a 30-acre ranch in California and began farming avocados. Ironically, Selleck himself is not actually a big fan of avocado, which he firmly refuses to eat. While we all need a hobby, Selleck could simply stay at home and sleep on a bed made of dollars bills. Instead, even with a vast fortune of $45 million, Selleck still works his own fields from time to time!
