While King Mohammed VI is one of the most powerful kings in the world, he is also a great ruler. Furthermore, the King is most known for improving Morocco and leading his nation to the modern world. As such, he has implemented more modern approaches to historical struggles like the nation’s immense poverty, women’s rights, and the weak job market.
However, the King spends a considerable amount of money every month. Just last year alone, he spent $124,000 on cars repairs, $86,000 on animal care, and $4.6 million per month on employee wages. Not to mention almost $1 million a year on electricity and water bills for the Royal palaces in Rabat, just to list a few.
