In 2007, as a senior, Stokke competed in an event outside of New York City. There, everything seemed normal, both for her and her team. As she prepared,Ā a photographer snapped a shot for the official California Track and Field website. After all, who wouldn’t? Stokke’s comeback was a big story! The photo featured Stokke, in athletic shorts and a tank-top, fixing her hair while waiting for her turn to compete.
The photographer most likely had no ill intent in mind. For them, it was simply another ordinary day working forĀ California Track and Field. But later, when they posted the photos, someone saw something else in the image. His name was Matt Ufford.
