Most would agree that the ‘90s wouldn’t be the same without the Spice Girls! Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, broke records left and right alongside Emma Burton, Melanie C, and Geri Halliwell. Today, nearly 30 years later, the group remains the best-selling female pop group of all time. During their hiatus in the 00s, Scary Spice shared her debut solo single with the world, “I Want You Back,” which managed to peak at number one in the UK.
While Mel B hasn’t released new music since 2005, she’s managed to keep her celebrity status. In 2011, she became one of the judges on the British version of The X Factor, and she’s been riding that wave ever since. She also served as a judge on America’s Got Talent and Dancing with the Stars. Back in 2019, she toured with the Spice Girls after almost a decade!
