10. They Speak Three Different Languages

Nowadays, it is relatively uncommon to find an individual that can correctly speak two languages, let alone three! But the Amish have a significant advantage on the rest of us. Everyone in the Amish world has to learn three languages! That’s quite an achievement, especially for someone who didn’t go to high school or college.
Before the Amish settled in America, they vowed to bring their traditions from their home country of Germany, and of course, that included their language. Furthermore, Amish also speak English and Pennsylvania Dutch. Unsurprisingly, as they can communicate with multiple people in different languages, they have an advantage in the business world.
