They probably don’t know it, but if they did, the Amish would likely love the saying “sharing is caring.” Without technology, hosting and participating in community activities is a crucial part of Amish culture. Furthermore, they consider it fundamental to hold the Amish society together
The Amish community often organizes special events so that the entire community can catch up. Men and women have long conversations, while younger people use it as a time to socialize with other teens! Meanwhile, the children love playing with one another. Whether it is a big potluck or a simple gathering, they always love to spend quality time together. It’s certainly a cheaper option than taking the whole family to the movie theater!
