30. No Social Security

The best part of adulthood is the payday, everyone loves it. Getting pay after long working hours is one of the best feelings each month. However, that paycheck also comes with the harsh and sad reality of seeing how many taxes have been taken out of your payroll. Fortunately for the Amish, there’s one less place where their money goes each month.
That’s because the Amish community does not pay for Social Security, and therefore, they get to earn a little bit more every month. Furthermore, the government exempts the Amish community from buying into Social Security, and the Amish waive its rights to the benefits due to their strong religious beliefs.
