Financial and Life Lessons You Can Learn From The Amish
Did you know there are many lessons you can learn from the Amish? From cooking to working and more learn how they live…
40. Outsiders Are Simply âEnglishâ
Amish donât care what country youâre from, the color of your skin, or if youâre the next in line to the throne. The Amish call anyone not a part of their society an âEnglishâ individual. This all dates back to the foundation of the Amish community.
Throughout their history, Amish have only changed their ways a handful of times. So, over the years, they kept referring to outsiders as English, no matter where they came from. Whatâs more, they couldnât refer to them as Americans, because the Amish are American too, so the tradition stuck. Now, even if someone comes all the way from Zimbabwe, theyâre âEnglishâ to the Amish.
