In the Amish world, if a neighbor needs to build a new barn, they don’t ask for help. Instead, the entire community automatically bands together to help their neighbor to make one. Because of the community’s support, they don’t have to pay someone else to do it and end up saving a lot. Furthermore, they take this opportunity to spend quality time with one another.

Of course, you don’t need to start trading with your neighbors to implement this into your own life. Instead, ask a neighbor if they’re willing to help you out with a project, and then you’ll do the same for them. That way, you both save on not having to hire an outside worker!
