David James – Bad Investments and Poor Spending Habits

As you’ve likely noticed, two things seem to break athletes’ bank accounts: bad investments and lavish lifestyles. Unfortunately, former England International goalkeeper David James had both! In the end, he needed to sell everything and get a regular job.
After an all-star career, James relocated to India, where he began managing the Kerala Blasters. In the meantime, James had no choice but to sell all of his belongings. His sale included a Walter Raleigh chopper, a three-door Vauxhall Astra van, 150 soccer shirts that James wore, and more than 1,000 music records. That had to hurt – but at least it saved him from becoming broke!
