While critics often take aim at wellness brand Good for selling expensive knickknacks and unproven cures, founder and owner Gwyneth Paltrow has convinced fans and investors otherwise. While the company may have started as a simple newsletter that Paltrow sent to fans, its now a massive wellness brand, raising over $420 million in venture capital since its founding!
However, its still unclear if selling crystals, face masks, and expensive retreats is enough. In 2014, some internal Goop documents leaked, showing $1.2 in company debts. The company seems to be remaining afloat, mainly thanks to a $50 million investment in 2018. We’ll have to wait and see what happens to Goop in the future…
