Mark Brunell – Failed Fast Food Franchises

NFL star Mark Brunell made approximately $50 million for himself while playing on the N.Y. Jets. However, all this money couldn’t prevent Brunell for declaring himself completely broke – while still playing in the NFL! You see, in 2010, a year before he retired, Brunell had about $5 million left in his account, with $25 million in debt!
Worst of all, he had many bad real estate investments that absolutely crashed after the 2008 recession. Furthermore, Brunell also purchased nine Whataburger franchise restaurants – five of which went belly-up. Unfortunately, he simply wasn’t good at investing and was the biggest role of his financial downright!
