Today Show co-anchor Hoda Kotb has been romantically involved with New York financier Joel Schiffman since 2013, recently announcing their engagement. However, it wasn’t always a happy fairy tale. In fact, the two met at a event that Kotb did not even want to attend!
“It was pouring rain. It was a bunch of Wall Street guys,” she told Andy Cohen, in an interview with O Magazine. “I had to give a speech. They were bored.” Kotb ran into Schiffman afterward when he asked for her autograph. The host felt a spark and passed along her email address, and the rest was history!
