Without a doubt, actress Viola Davis is one of the biggest names in all of Hollywood right now. To date, she’s the only African-American who has won a Tony, an Emmy, and an Academy Award for acting. That’s quite a resume. However, her husband, Julis Tennon also has quite a history to his name. He was once a legendary football player at the University of Tulsa! He then became the first African-American student to graduate from the school’s theater program.
Tennon and Davis married in 2003 after Davis literally prayed to find a good husband! Someone “reliable, loyal, and of faith.” Just a few weeks later, her prawers were answered when she met Tennon, the love of her life!
